Million Lives

There's a new song on the hits channel called "Million Lives" by Jake Miller, and I really appreciate it. "But I felt strong when I listened to your songs. You were, always there for me, you helped my heart beat. You were my only friend, kept you on repeat. I thank God for you every single night. Cause believe or not, you saved my life," is used at the end of every verse in this song. I like this verse because it's better than most songs that are being played on the radio nowadays. It makes me happy that there's such a positive message, and he's reaching out to people through music.
This song is important to me because anytime I'm feeling low, I can remember that everyone else has it rough, too. My favorite line in the song is, "I've had a million lows, and a million more highs. No I haven't made a million, but I've touched a million lives." This is my favorite because he's not just in it for the money. He really is doing it to touch people on a different level.

North Korea Has No Chance

North Korea has recently said they want to start a war against pretty much everyone that isn't themselves; this includes America. “it is difficult to believe that a 29, 30 year-old would have complete control over bureaucracy, over military, over giving orders, thinking about what those orders mean,” the official said." Well, yeah, it is hard to understand because he shouldn't be. He should've be because he doesn't make rational decisions; he's crazy. America isn't the only country that's having trouble getting in to their system and understanding, "But the Chinese are also having trouble getting through. A senior American official told me last week that the Chinese had described Mr. Kim as immature and brash." I agree with this statement because its completely uncalled for. I just hope they can back up what they bring to the table. In my opinion, I think North Korea is barking up the wrong tree because they cannot compare to our military forces.

Forgiveness

Have you ever been put in a situation that you knew was wrong… but it was substantial for your well-being and others well-being?  “A young woman aborts her baby to avoid the social stigma of being an unwed mother.”
Think about just starting your college career.  You don’t have much money, your family is in another town, and you’re over loaded with stress.  You have a night off, and you go on a date with a nice guy that you barely know.  He drugs you, takes you somewhere and rapes you, and bam, you are now pregnant with a baby whose father you don’t even know.  What will you do now?
If you keep the baby, your family will disown you.  You have no money to take care of the child like you should.  People will look at you like you’re some kind of idiot or trashy, when you didn’t even know it would be this way.  You made one decision that will affect you for the rest of your life all because you simply wanted a night off.
Would you want to be forgiven?  Would you want people to be civil if you aborted something before it was life?  Put yourself into their shoes.  You may not forget, but you never know someone’s circumstances, so forgive a person for their well-being and your own.
I believe that you should be forgiven according to the circumstance.  In this circumstance, she should be forgiven for something that she couldn't control.  You never know someone else’s story.  Don’t be so quick to judge.

Old Kids on the Block

New kids on the Block?  More like Old Kids on the Block... I think that they need to give up their five minutes of fame. In the article talking about their new song, "Remix (I Like The)", it says "It’s fast-paced and, just like those sticky NKOTB refrains of yore, it certainly has a hook that seems primed to get lodged in our brains." It's not lodged in my brain;  the only thing lodged in mine is that these are grown men and they need to act like it.  They're producing teeny bopper music when they should be producing wives and children.  Another thing that caught my attention, "Since it’s their first new stuff in years, we’re willing to overlook the liberal use of Auto-Tune..." Right... So have they lost their talent, or did they never have it in the first place?  I'm all for catchy music, but I think they're way too old to be making music for teenagers, while wishing they were still teen heart throbs.  I connect this to the world because our world's taste in music has completely changed over the years, and I'm looking for something new instead of repetitive, trashy, and/or vulgar music.

Timberlake Brings it on down to SNL Ville

Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend and did a fantastic job!  In the article I read, it claims "The 32-year-old pop star/actor hosted the sketch comedy show for the fifth time on Saturday, and delivered “SNL’s” highest ratings in 14 months."  I watch this show regularly, but with a host that good, a lot of people tune in. Another thing I found interesting in the article I read was, "“Final thoughts on the night: the episode was very familiar. It was filled with familiar faces doing familiar things … [with] Timberlake, the most celebrated host of the last decade, doing old Timberlake characters,” the recap said. “But oh well, it as great, and we enjoyed it.” That was another thing that I LOVED about this episode because some of the original cast and others than have hosted many times were in some skits.
This was one of the best episodes. I loved this episode because it relates back to me because I've watched it since I was tiny, and I've watched the show grow while I've grown. Justin Timberlake did a great job as the host.

Beyonce's Embarrassing Photo

Famous pop diva, Beyonce, recently performed at half time on Super Bowl Sunday.  She rocked it, and pictures of her facial expressions proved it.  Not too much after the performance, many "embarrassing" pictures of the star were posted on different sites on the web.
I personally think this just shows off how hard she has worked to get her body back after she had her newborn baby. She looks great! In the article, her publicist says, "surely you can find more flattering pictures than this".  What's more flattering than showing off your muscles and strength?  In an e-mail to the first site to post the photos, Beyonce's publicist, said "he's asking in a polite manner for the photos to be removed".  The opposite happened, because more and more sites wanted the pictures to stay up, so they simply started posting the pictures themselves.
I can connect this to anyone that doesn't want an embarrassing picture posted. I've done it myself. There are plenty of times when I don't want to be tagged in a photo because of the way I look. I do think they're over exaggerating, because for her being her age and just having a baby, she looks phenomenal!

Harry and Taylor Official?

Recently, tons of pictures have been posted on the Internet reporting that country pop star, Taylor Swift, and boy band singer, Harry Styles, have been everywhere together. I do not like the idea of Taylor Swift and my favorite One Direction singer together.  My reason behind this is that all Swift will do is write a song about him when they break up.  Swift is kind of pathetic.  Tons of little girls look up to her, and she dwells on past relationships.  Everyone thinks about their past, but writing songs about how the other girl is trashy?  In one of Swift's songs from her album "Speak Now", she claims "She's not a saint, and she's not what you think, she's an actress. She's better known for the things that she does on the mattress...".  In conclusion, Taylor Swift gets her feelings hurt way too easily so Styles is not the guy for her.
Harry Styles is 1/5 of new British pop band One Direction.  Not only is he my favorite, but I also KNOW him, or any of the One Direction boys for that matter, shouldn't waste their time on a relationship which is what Swift is all about. One Direction has so many things to worry about, like how many girls are wooing over their charming looks. They love to party, I would too if I had that money.  On a recent site, Zayn Malik, was in a bit of trouble for bringing under-aged girls in to the hotel room with the rest of 1D.  Hmmm, what does Swift have to say about that?  Styles doesn't have time for a girlfriend.  In my opinion, he definitely doesn't have time for a psycho one.
